With the weekly releases on Stardoll it's easy to go overboard, you end up buying items that you don't need, that are really difficult to match, that in a couple of weeks you will regret of buying, or even that there is a cheaper similar version available.

I've been playing Stardoll for about 5 years, and I learned the hard way that it's so easy to buy unnecessary things and end up broke with items that you will never need or use. Here are some tips on how to become a pro on shopping:

1. Don't buy something just because everyone is buying or has it, buy it because you like it.
2. If you have a small closet don't buy the most expensive thing that you can find, buy cheaper items so you can expand your options, remember that quantity is more important than quality when you have a small closet.
3. Always buy something versatile, that you can use easily with any outfit, like a white t-shirt, black heels or sneakers, or even classic jeans.
4. Research on the catalog for items that might not be on stores, you also can compare them with others with equal characteristics such as price, shape or brand.
5. Create your wishlist, put items that you want to buy, I recommend that you leave them at least one week on it, must of the times you will end not buying it after that one week, because there is a newer version, or you don't like it anymore...
